Race 1
SKY OF GOLD will most likely go off as the favorite but 5.5 is too short for him. I just don't think he can get there. The horse to bet by default is TROPHY CASE. He is in great form right now and this is the easiest field he's faced since Ciardullo took him over.
Race 2
There's a lot of cheap speed to the outside in this one. Hell, everything about this bunch is cheap. But, nonetheless, it sets up for something with late kick and Boulanger might have the most with COULDA SHOULDA. He shoulda be in front when they reach the wire.
Race 3
They'll all be flying - probably 4 or 5 wide fighting for the lead. Won't get a fair price on LA GRANGE or BIRDLAND so I'll back RUSHCLIFFE and hope for a good trip.
Race 4
SOLAMENTE is finally placed where she belongs. Plus she gets Castro and his weight allowance to add to the drop.
Race 5
I don't know what happened to ASSETS OF GOLD in her last but I'm willing to forgive. Looking for a bounceback effort today.
Race 6
Any maiden with 4 place finishes out of 7 starts frightens me, but we'll probably get a fair price on A PENNY AT A TIME today because a) she's coming out of the 11 hole and b) DILIGENT PRINCESS will take a lot of action.

I'm taking a chance here that HE'S THE MASTER can steal this one at juicy odds. I've always liked the "Rose first after claim" angle.
